  • FILEMAIL REVIEW 2020: the fastest file transfer cloud service I've found, and the perfect choice for musicians and music educators who need to send and receive large audio and video files of any size +

After extensive research and comparison shopping the major online companies that allow people to upload and download huge files, I've come to the firm conclusion that FileMail is the best for many reasons, especially because it has no limit on file size (even the most basic free version) and has a solid desktop utility for off-line uploads with speeds up to 20 times faster than other web browser transfer sites. Teaching online, creating music videos and posting WAV files requires the sharing of very large files. After many months of use, I'm sold on Filemail. To put it simply, Filemail works perfectly with all the features a musician and music educator would ever need. The interface is smooth, easy and straight-ahead. I've never had any hassles or failed uploads when starting out with their free version which was robust enough to keep me going for all of my largest file Read More

COMING SOON: the launch of my new PODCAST programs on Buzzsprout

It is with great pleasure that I'm happy to share with my friends, students, fans, YouTube viewers, live stream concert audience members and all visitors to my official website that I'm currently working on the upcoming launch presenting a series of weekly podcasts on the Buzzsprout platform.

The first podcast I'm going to launch will be all about the piano, the center and heart of my life's work as a full-time professional musical artist. It is entitled "Solo Piano Artistry - Andy Wasserman" and will feature Contemporary, Modern, Jazz and Blues genres of all original music, composed, arranged, performed, recorded and produced by me through my production company TransMedia Sound and Music.

Each weekly episode will include selections from my current album releases on Bandcamp from different themes and genres, with explanations and stories about how these original solo piano pieces are created from an artistic viewpoint. Musical tips and comments about piano playing will enhance the podcast listeners musical appreciation.

Here's the artwork for my upcoming "Solo Piano Artistry" podcast series

Andy Wasserman Podcast Solo Piano Artistry

I have ambitious plans for adding more series to my Buzzsprout podcast offerings in the future based on the arts-in-education "worldbeat" side of my life's work in music as well as George Russell's theory of tonal gravity. As of now, the working titles and descriptions are as follows:

Exploring the secrets within the hidden meanings of stories through the universal power of music from around the world. Connections between language and sound are experienced by discovering how different cultures communicate weaving together the four elements of rhythm, melody, harmony and form. The intention and aim of this program is to allow listeners to connect with themes of unity, cultural tolerance and global understanding.

All things rhythmical! The focus of this podcast will be percussion instruments and my teaching method of a living language of rhythmic study entitled "Beats-Speak" - the timekeepers code. For the drummer inside everyone. We will explore many genres, rhythmic traditions and drums galore in this fun, entertaining and informative podcast.

A podcast intended to introduce, clarify and help explain the fundamental precepts set forth by Maestro Russell's Lydian Chromatic Concept of Tonal Organization (LCC or LCCOTO) for anyone - musicians or non-musicians alike - who would like to learn more about what the music itself is telling us about it's own self-organized unity. "The Concept" gives us the opportunity to connect with an open-ended, pan-stylistic foundation in which levels of tonal gravity act as prime, integral moving forces within music.

This podcast will help to sustain the integrity, authenticity and purity of George Russell's life's work by dedicating the transmission of its invaluable innovation explicitly as Russell intended it to be shared - thereby respecting and honoring his monumental legacy for future generations. I will bring all I've learned to this new podcast as someone who has been giving private lessons in the LCCOTO since 1982 when I was granted certification as a LCC instructor directly by George Russell as well as the enriching and humbling experience I received as his editorial assistant from 1980 until the Maestro's passing in 2009.

Feel free to CONTACT ME with any suggestions or requests for podcast episode topics, questions or themes. I would love your input and participation in making these podcasts meaningful, exciting and fun for everyone.
